A dress & baby quilt

I made this dress for my daughter a couple weeks ago. The pattern was for a night gown, but once I had it made, it seemed like a dress. Then Colette wanted to wear it to school, so I decided that it would be a dress. I think this fabric is so cute:



This quilt was made for my sister. She is expecting baby number 2 on Nov. 7th:







I also made some cute pj pants for Gavin, and I have a dress for Colette 98% done, but I don't have pics of them yet. More later!

I made a quilt!

I've been wanting to try to make quilt for a while now, and I finally just did it. A friend is having a baby girl next month, so I made this for her.



I thought it would be really hard, and take a long time, but it went really well. I started on Saturday afternoon. I only worked on it for about an hour & a half (but I got the top done!). Then Sunday evening I quilted it & put the binding on. It really didn't take that long - I could totally do it again!



It's a good thing, too... I have a couple quilts planned for Christmas presents this year!

Lately I have been sewing much more than scrapping. I have been having fun creating wearable and usable things! Here are some of the projects I have done in the past few weeks:


A skirt I made for my daughter (I hand embroidered the designs on there too!)


Pajama pants for my daughter.


Pajama pants for my son.


Please excuse the messy background in my pics, but... I have a small area I create in.

I have been making some clothes for my kids, purses, and lots o baby items - blankets and burp cloths. (Two family members are pregnant!)

I don't have any pictures of the purses I've made. I need to take some tonight... I will try to post them tomorrow.
