Sign for my dishwasher

I know, I'm so creative when it comes to titling my blog posts, huh?

I imagine there is some level of confusion regarding the dishwasher in every household. Are the dishes clean, or are they dirty? I've seen magnets that you can buy to help with this dilemma, but I'm way too cheap, so I made one for myself.

I had a large promotional magnet, and I cut the letters out with my cricut. Then I mod podged everything.

I think it's cute, and it's already come in handy.

One good thing about this magnet: I knew I wanted to post it here, so I put it on my dishwasher to take a picture. Then I realized how dirty the dishwasher was, and I couldn't take a picture like that. So I cleaned it. Just for you. :)

Things I have discovered about Hawaii, part 2....

I knew that pineapples grew in Hawaii, but I didn't know how much fruit there really was here. Mangoes, especially! They are everywhere on this island, and our neighborhood. There is a tree in a common yard area right behind our house, so for a while, we had all the fresh mangoes we could eat. Except no one likes them but me, so by "we", I really mean "me".

Lizards rule the island!

Just kidding. But they are everywhere! I know there are lizards in every state, but I continually find them all over the house (inside and out!).

This little (and I do mean little, that huge looking bottle is a small vitamin bottle) guy was hanging out on my kitchen counter. He (she? Do lizards have sexes?) stayed there for hours! Jeremy, being the animal sucker that he is, out a small puddle of water on the counter for the lizard to drink, lol.

I can see Maui

Can you? I promise it's there. :)

Blowhole Lookout. Yes, that's the name of the place we went.

We stopped at a scenic lookout while driving a while back. It was beautiful! This is called Blowhole Lookout, it's supposed to be a good place to see whales in the winter. Right now we are in the middle of summer, so we did not see any whales, but it was still a beautiful place. The water was so blue, and the waves were crashing on the rocks like crazy.

There was a beach park over to the left. We did not go there, because the waves were crazy, and we knew the kids wouldn't like that at all.
